PODINI FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE PROJECT ZEICHEN GEBEN - DARE SEGNI - GIVING SIGNALS

Workshop with  the students of the marble and stone workers- professional school and the grandparents of the village for the international Alzheimer Day 2017.

Dementia will be the topic around which the students and grandparents of the village will be drawing together using  different techniques or producing little objects with different materials. The main goal is to create a concrete sign of an artistic deepening of a topic as current as senile dementia.

Benno Simma will be the coordinator  of the three intensive phases of the project (duration three weeks totally). The different phases to develop and perform will be:

1. INTRODUCTION DAY OF THE PROJECT - October 2016
2. FIRST WEEK OF JOINT WORK  - November 2016
Introduction to the project, gathering of documents and information about the theme, first projects involving the grandparents.
3. SECOND WEEK OF JOINT WORK - December 2016
Development of models and sketches for the selected solutions of the project, work of joint projects and preparation of the phase of implementation.
4. THIRD WEEK OF JOINT WORK - January 2017
Implementation of the chosen project and actualization of the final product
5. PRESENTATION OF THE WORK - February 2017

A play will be prepared and performed at the same time as the art work will be developed. In fact, as of February 2017 students from another professional school in Merano in collaboration with professional actors of the “Carambolage” Theatre of Bolzano, will come together and work on the production of a play in multiple languages.

At the end of the project and on the occasion of the international Alzheimer Day 2017 a gala dinner will be organized by the Hotel Management School in Merano.
