Through the “PODINI FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP” we wanted to raise awareness among young people about the issue of volunteering, giving some of them the opportunity to live a volunteer experience in Italy and / or abroad.
Aimed at high school students in the Italian language of South Tyrol, the project established 8 scholarships for the students of the best essay on the theme: “THE ONLUS: HOW THEY ARE AND HOW YOU WANT THEY ARE” Your ideas on volunteering activities and the mission of the non-profit organizations.

Thanks to the collaboration with various associations, the winners were able to participate, as a couple, in the following experiences:
IN CAMBODIA WITH THE ASSOCIATION “THE NODE ONLUS”
Thanks to the close collaboration of the Podini Foundation with the IL NODO ONLUS Association, Andrea and Francesco had the opportunity to live directly on the field the activities of a voluntary association abroad.
The youngsters, accompanied by Stefano Podini, stayed in Phnom Penh and, followed by a tutor, had the opportunity to participate in the “clean water to basic right for every child” project and, on this occasion, to distribute the filters for water purification.
AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE: THE PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES
Chiara and Miriam, together with Stefano Podini, participated in the pilgrimage to Lourdes, in France, from 5 to 9 May 2017.
During their stay they were assisted by a tutor made available by the Malta Help.bz Association who showed the two students how the volunteer activities are coordinated during a Pilgrimage.
EASTER IN THE MOUNTAINS TOGETHER WITH THE BOYS OF THE A.I.A.S.
During the Easter holidays 2017 Claudia took part in a stay in Romeno, in Val di Non, organized by the Association A.I.A.S. He was part of a young group accompanying disabled children during four days of fun and relaxation. She was assisted by a tutor and participated in the organization of leisure and recreation activities.
AGENCY FOR CIVIL PROTECTION: THE FULCR OF RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE REGION
Thanks to this experience, the Bonny, Riccardo and Paula students have come into direct contact with the extraordinary machine of civil protection which has 19,000 volunteers in Alto Adige. An agency tutor joined the guys, for a week in May, in the visit of the operative offices of the various sectors:
– Fire fighters
– White Cross
– Red Cross
– Alpine rescue
